Mise-en-scene location and prop ideas

This is a professional photoshoot set, I would shoot my magazine here as it looks professional and would make my images look just as professional. However because if my genre, I would like to shoot my magazine somewhere more rustic looking in order for it too appeal to my target audience. I may only use this location for my front cover image but the majority of my magazines images will be shot in a more familiar and comfortable environment for my audience to appeal to.
I have chosen this image as a possible mise-en-scene location idea as it has been used various times in exsisting magazines that share the same genre as mine. I would like to use this as I want my magazine to look and be as conventional and recognisable in its genre as much as possible.
I have chosen the location of a local pub as people in my target audience will be familiar with this environment and it is also easily recognisable. I have seen in my research that existing magazine companies that have the same genre as me, have also used this setting on some of their shoots. I am therefore trying to make my magazine be as conventional as possible in order to appeal to my audience as best as I can.

This image is of the backstage of a concert. I would like to use a similar image to this in my magazine as in my research I found out that a lot of readers would like to see where the artists sit before and after a concert and it is also rare to see the backstage of a bands gig so I would like my audience to have the privilege of seeing this side of the artists life. I think that my target audience would really like this mise-en-scene location in my magazine.

I have chosen to include a guitar as a prop as it is the most recognisable music instrument at the moment and it will inform the consumer straight away of what genre my magazine is. It is also a very popular instrument so people may pick up and buy my magazine just because of the nice guitar featured on it or because of a magazine related article on guitar playing. It will therefore widen my overall audience.
I have chosen a microphone as a possible prop to use for my images for my magazine as it is a clear popular symbol of music and will not leave my audience questioning what genre my magazine is.
Whilst conducting my research I noticed that a lot of popular existing magazine companies use music awards in there images, especially on the front cover image. This is so that the artist can show off their awards whilst also encouraging people to buy the magazine.
I have chosen sunglasses as my final prop as they are famously known to be worn by celebrities and will give my magazine that A-list, professional look. It will therefore attract people to buy my magazine as it suits my genre and appeals to what my target audience want.
